The reality depicted in 'Extraordinary' refutes the official narrative that the pandemic in Poland was and is under control. Hospitals plunged into an equipment crisis. The tragic situation of nurses left to fend for themselves. The stress. Extremely exhausting work under time pressure. On-call duty extended to several days. Scandalous and unlawful work orders. Medics, doctors and paramedics left without the means to protect themselves. And finally, isolation - to protect loved ones.

'Extraordinary' is a made-for-TV record of many unknown stories. Marcin Wyrw and Małgorzata Żmudka show real people, while also revealing the wider context of the situation in which Poland found itself because of the virus.
