Clinical communication is an important skill for healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists or psychologists. In order to become qualified in this field, it is necessary to receive appropriate training. Unfortunately, there are still no studies or courses specialising in clinical communication in Poland, so it is worth reaching out for support from the International Society for Communication in Healthcare, which has been working on this topic for 30 years and has a huge database of educational tools.
Clinical communication competence is an important skill for healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists or psychologists. Completing a degree in psychology or medicine does not mean that a person has these competences, and even working many years in healthcare does not automatically make a person a teacher of clinical communication. Appropriate training is required to acquire these competences.
